Who Is EMDR Training For?
Mental health professionals who are licensed or license-eligible clinicians are welcome to attend Basic Training. Graduate students may also register if they are enrolled in, or about to begin the clinical portion of their program. If you are not currently licensed, you will need to provide a letter from your supervisor recommending you for EMDR Basic Training and that you're currently under supervision.
For full details on eligibility criteria, please review EMDRIA’s Program Requirements for EMDR Basic Training. Please note that training must be completed within one year of your start date, as per EMDRIA guidelines.
Mental health professionals who are interested in expanding their EMDR skills are eligible to take our Advanced EMDR Trainings. You must have fully completed your EMDR Basic Training before registering for an Advanced EMDR Training.

EMDR Training is a dynamic experience. It is one of the gold standard treatments for individuals who have experienced trauma. As clinicians being able to bring our best selves and the best treatment to the table is imperative in our client's progress and growth.
The EMDR Basic Training includes live lectures, group practicums, and group consultations. EMDR Essentials is an EMDRIA-approved training provider, pending approval. Our online and in-person EMDR Basic Training consists of 40 hours of training and practicum time with 10 more hours after the training of consultation.
Our EMDR curriculum has been developed and written by Marleen Filimon and Julie Marquis. Our training brings their unique personalities and neurodivergence to the learning experience through the learning environment, EMDR practice manual, and demonstration videos.
